A further award for the Carewatch franchise
Carewatch has announced that Anna Houston, managing director of Carewatch Argyll and Bute, has been recognised for her work with one of the leading partnerships in Scotland at a prestigious evening awards ceremony. According to the information provided, the Argyll & Bute Reshaping Care for Older People Programme Board was selected from more than 200 entries as winner of the ‘Partnership of the Year Award’ at the Scottish Care Awards 2012, sponsored by the Joint Improvement Team.
Anna Houston commented, “I am delighted that Carewatch has been recognised for the work we are doing with The Argyll & Bute partnership. Our business is about the people we support and the teams who provide that support and our work with the Partnership is a great example of how a joint approach can make a difference.”
This year, the care awards followed a full day of conference for the care at home and housing support sector where the keynote speaker was the Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary Nicola Sturgeon. She and other participants addressed various issues pertinent to the sector and specific to care and support within the home. (kbp)
