Helping businesses solve the problem of ground-nesting birds
In a recent announcement, the franchise system, NBC Bird and Pest Solutions, explained how it helps the construction industry with its problem of ground-nesting birds. According to the company, the breeding season is a great concern for the construction industry as the nesting birds can cause both delays and financial losses. The ground-nesting birds are, the company explains, attracted to undeveloped sites where they nest and breed over a period of five months. Protected by law, it is illegal to remove or disturb them during this period which can force construction companies to stop all business activities.
NBC Bird and Pest Solutions, however, have a solution to this problem: it creates, it says, natural programmes which cause disturbance on development sites. It uses, for example, hawks, falcons and dogs thus encouraging ground-nesting birds to look for a different place to nest. If construction companies use these services before the breeding season actually starts, the birds can be encouraged to nest elsewhere and business activities can continue as planned.
