2010 Multi-Unit Franchising Conference: Record-Breaking Attendance

Multi-Unit Franchisee Magazine, published by Franchise Update Media Group (FUMG), has announced that the 2010 Multi-Unit Franchising Conference has record-breaking attendance and is nearly sold out. According to the information provided, this year’s event is being held March 24-26 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

“Nearly two-thirds of the franchisees registered are looking for opportunities,” said Therese Thilgen, president of FUMG. “And with a sold out expo hall, franchisees will have plenty of opportunities to network and make deals.”

Conference attendees are successful multi-unit operators, including 150 who represent over 100 franchise brands and more than 7,800 units. These operators are major contributors to economic growth - 30% of them generate almost $3 billion in annual revenue, and 65% generate $5 million or more in annual system-wide sales.

“Multi-unit franchises are also one of the major sources of job creation, demonstrated by the fact that 130 franchises employ more than 60,000 people,” Thilgen said.

Keynote speaker Mike Ditka, former Super Bowl winning coach, will share his “Playbook for Success.” This is the premier conference in the country with an exclusive focus on multi-unit franchising, the fastest-growing sector in the industry, and provides the ideal venue where franchisors and suppliers can meet with successful multi-unit franchisees looking for new opportunities and business solutions.
