Training and Support
The training consists of 60 hours in the classroom covering regional office start-up, franchise sales training, office management and procedures, contract sales training and 20 hours on the job. There is also an additional 20 hours in classroom to cover cleaning, franchise sales review, contract sales training, and 60 hours on the job training.
The territory is typically delineated by the boundaries of the designated Standard Metropolitan Statistical Area, or specific county or city borders sufficient to encompass a specified population. The population for the territory will contain a minimum of 350,000 people. The franchisee will have the exclusive right to operate their Regional Master Franchise within the described Territory.
The franchisor will not establish other franchises with similar products or services under a different trade name or trademark within the territory. The franchisee may not solicit or accept Unit Franchisees or Janitorial Customers from outside of the Territory.
For the JAN-PRO Master Franchise program, they are looking for seasoned Sales/Marketing and Management executives. In fact, many of their most successful Master Franchise owners have come from previous senior management and sales careers with Fortune 500 companies.
The Master Franchise program is based on an area development model. Therefore, the Master Franchisees rely on a decentralized management structure in which each Master Franchise owner acts as the Regional Franchisor in their exclusive market. Jan- Pro’s Master Franchise owners operate in a professional business environment during regular business hours, while their Unit franchisees service the commercial cleaning needs of the clients.
Jan-Pro assess the following three areas when considering Master Franchise Owners:
1. A successful track record of business and/or sales management experience.
2. Liquid assets or access to initial start-up funding of $250,000 (plus)
3. Preparedness to either already reside in, or relocate to, a selected metropolitan market.
