What are Scanpoints?
Scanpoints are service companies which take over the whole of the digitizing process for their clients. Scanpoint's own courier service collects the customers' files and documents which are labelled and indexed with barcodes. Once they have been digitized, the paper documents are then returned to the customers' or alternatively destroyed by a professional waste disposal firm.
If the customers wish to have an archival copy for auditing purposes, they can receive a copy of all their documents on hand including the research software on CD or DVD with a hybrid archiving on microfilm at the same time which - if requested - can be stored at Scanpoint. If the companies need to access their documents daily but do not wish to build up their own internal DMS and archive solution, then these are made available to them on CD or DVD in a WEB archive via a secure site on the Internet. To do this, the users use a flexible research application to access their documents. Thus there are no additional administration costs for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the research workstation.
Scanpoint Europe is looking for further independent partners. The target is to set up a Scanpoint branch in every large city. The new Scanpoint partners are trained and receive the necessary technical equipment as well as marketing documents in order to be able to act professionally on the market. The service package is rounded off with further training seminars and activities.
At present there are 12 Scanpoints in Leipzig, Itzehoe, Munich, Stuttgart, Salzwedel, Berlin, Wiesbaden, Oberhausen, Freiburg, Düsseldorf, Waiblingen, Waldbronn and 2 more shall be opening up soon in Bielefeld and Nuremberg. |
