The winners were announced in front of nearly 300 of the UK’s franchise businesses and experts who were all attending a Gala Dinner held at the Heritage Motor Centre on 16th June.
The five winners were as follows: the bfa HSBC Franchisor of the Year Gold
Award was presented to McDonald’s, the Silver Award to Home Instead Senior Care
and the Bronze Award to etyres. Furthermore, the HSBC Franchisee Support Award
was won by Autosmart and the Express Newspapers Brand Builder Award was
presented to Belvoir Lettings.
Brian Smart, director general, British Franchise Association (bfa), commented on the winners, saying, “This has been another inspirational year for franchising. Each year the awards unearth fantastic success stories and demonstrations of ethical franchising at work. Our judging panel were presented with some of the best examples of innovation, brand development and franchisee support that they have ever seen and it has been a privilege to recognise these truly outstanding franchisors. Each of our winners is a credit to the sector.” (kbp)
