Subway celebrates success in Ireland
According to a report published on the Internet website, www.tcm.ie, the Subway franchise has now become the largest quick service food chain in Ireland following the opening of its 100th store in the Republic.
In an interview, Fred DeLuca, CEO and founder of the Subway chain, commented on the chain’s success in Ireland. "The success of the Subway chain in Ireland is testament to the passion of everyone involved. We have seen fantastic growth over the last 10 years which has been achieved by the strong franchise system, the entrepreneurial spirit and by the fact that we give customers exactly what they want - sandwiches made exactly the way they want, fresh in front of them."
Founded by Fred DeLuca in the United States in 1965, the Subway chain has become one of the world’s largest franchises with over 30,000 locations in more than 87 countries. (kbp)
