Smallprint introduces new range of unique Christmas gifts
Smallprint, a franchise company specialising in the creation of pieces of silver jewellery featuring a child’s actual fingerprint, has announced that it has launched an exclusive new line of Christmas gifts.
The new range has been created specifically for the festive period and consists of four different Christmas tree decorations, each one individually handcrafted and engraved, and capturing a child’s fingerprint in pure polished silver. The decorations can be crafted in the shape of an angel, a bell, a snowman or a Christmas tree and are aimed at parents who are looking for an original keepsake or unusual gift idea. The new designs were first launched on the market last month and cost £50 each.
Smallprint founder, Maija Pykett, commented on the new pieces, saying, “It’s always difficult to find unique and original gifts at Christmas, so we’re excited to be expanding our range with these unusual keepsakes. The decorations can be used year after year, hung on the tree for generations to admire and enjoy, so they really are the gift that keeps on giving.”
Smallprint uses precious metal clay to create original pieces of silver jewellery – once the clay has been rolled out and shaped, the child’s finger is gently pressed in place to create the print. Each piece is then individually sanded, engraved and fired, before being finished with solid silver settings. Other products made by Smallprint include necklaces, cufflinks, dog tags, key rings and bracelet charms. Just recently the company also launched its “The Harrods Range”, a range created exclusively for Harrods in collaboration with renowned jewellery designer, Jane Davis.
