Orchestra continues to expand
Orchestra, the Italian franchise system for children’s clothing, was founded as a brand in 1995 using a simple and original concept: a large choice of high quality products, affordable for everyone and sold in modern, fun surroundings.
The company first expanded its business by setting up its own branches but in 1999 it then launched a franchise system, too. Since then, Orchestra has been using three main sales channels to sell its products: via branches (51% of the business), franchise-run shops as well as via multi-brand stores (8%) which sell a selection of the range.
44% of the company’s turnover is generated from abroad. Besides being active in Italy, Orchestra also has branches in Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, China and Canada in order to push the expansion of its brand in these countries. A purchasing office was set up in Hong Kong, which is responsible for all of the products originating from Asia, and the company’s base in South France is in charge of the expansion of the brand throughout Europe and the Mediterranean region.
