O’Briens continues to expand its network
The O’Briens franchise, which operates a chain of franchised sandwich bars, is continuing to expand across Ireland and the UK mirroring its growth on the global market. According to the company, it currently has some promising opportunities for both new and existing stores located at prime locations around the UK and is on the look-out for new franchisees.
Two main reasons, the company says, why its business is proving to be a success are the quality of the franchisees it attracts and its expertise in finding the right location for its sandwich bars. Potential franchisees do not need to have experience of the branch as the company provides them with comprehensive training, advice and extensive hands on support. It also operates a “try before you buy” policy allowing people to visit existing outlets to get an idea of what the business is like.
The company currently has almost 300 stores worldwide. It develops its network through individual franchises, regional development agents and master licences in overseas territories, with more than 25% of its franchisees owning more than one outlet. According to O’Briens, the UK market has enjoyed an 11% increase in its like-for-like sales this year. (kbp)
