McDonald's switches to eco-friendly coffee
According to reports in the media, all McDonald’s restaurants in the United Kingdom and Ireland are changing the coffee they sell to serve an eco-friendly brand. They shall, in the future, only be using coffee which has been grown at farms approved of by the Rainforest Alliance, a conservation organization which acts as a watchdog championing sustainable agricultural methods and promoting environmental and ethical values.
This is just one of several decisions which McDonald’s has made recently in its attempt to increase its use of organic products and sustainable food sources in its outlets. Other McDonald’s restaurants in Europe are expected to follow suit soon.
