Massage Envy franchise expanding both at home and abroad
Having enjoyed unprecedented growth in 2010, Massage Envy, a leading provider of affordable and convenient massage and spa services, has continued to expand its network during the first quarter of this year announcing the opening of its 300th spa at the beginning of March.
Massage Envy CEO David Humphrey commented, "Opening our 300th spa location represents a significant milestone for Massage Envy Spa, as we have far surpassed our growth expectations for the concept thus far. It is a true testament not only to the power of the Massage Envy brand, but that our franchisees and their customers realize the value we bring in providing affordable and accessible massage therapy and skincare treatments."
Since then, the franchise has issued further press releases announcing its expansion in Sacramento and the San Francisco East Bay regions, where 25 new centers are to be developed over the next 7 to 10 years, as well as into North and South Dakota where the first center is due to open its doors to the public this June.
According to the information provided, this development is part of a steady and strategic plan being implemented by the brand, which includes expanding in existing markets while entering new cities across the country to help drive the growth of one the world's largest systems of franchised massage centers.
Furthermore, the brand has announced that it is planning for its first international expansion in Canada. As a result, the company is seeking area representatives to develop locations throughout the country over the next several years, whereby focus is initially being put on Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta.
David Humphrey said, "With the help of qualified area representatives, we plan to develop locations throughout Canada. We're looking forward to offering affordable and convenient massage therapy and skincare treatments to consumers in Canada joining the nearly 1 million members in the United States."
Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, the company currently has over 670 Massage Envy and Massage Envy Spa locations in the United States, making it, the company says, the largest system of franchised massage centers. (kbp)
