Häagen-Dazs: soon to open 30th franchise shop
Häagen-Dazs, the ice-cream specialist, is continuing to expand through its franchise concepts. According to a report on cafeFuture.net, the company succeeded in increasing the number of outlets in Germany to 24 last year. One of the company’s goal is for the 30th German branch to have opened its doors to the public by the end of 2006.
Häagen-Dazs franchise partners can choose between four different kinds of cafés: the flagship café with a sales surface of 150 to 200 square metres, the classic café with 70m² to 100m² and the so-called "Take-Out" with a sales surface of only 35 to 40 square metres. Besides these, Häagen-Dazs also has kiosk and counter concepts for mobile or seasonal selling e. g. in shopping centres, multiplex cinemas or amusement parks.
