Fressnapf founder presented with an award
The so-called Club 55, an association of European marketing and sales experts, recently presented Torsten Toeller, founder and managing partner of the Fressnapf franchise network, with the "Award of Excellence" at its annual congress in the Spanish city of Valencia.
The company explained that the award was given in recognition of Mr Toeller’s performance in building up and positioning the Fressnapf Group in both Germany and Europe. At the award ceremony, Mr Toeller stressed just how important the successful cooperation between the franchisees and the employees at the head office was for the success and the development of the pet store chain.
This was not the network’s first award. Back in 2003, Torsten Toeller was named “Entrepreneur of the Year”. In 2004, Fressnapf was presented with the “Franchisor of the Year” award. Just one year later, the company was given the “Goldenen Zuckerhut” (Golden Sugarloaf), which is, according to Fressnapf, the highest award within the branch. And, last but not least, in 2006, the magazine, Impulse, named Fressnapf the second best franchisor in Germany behind McDonald's.
