Fressnapf: €136,500 for animal protection
Fressnapf Tiernahrungs GmbH has handed over a cheque for €136,500 to the German animal protection charity, Deutsche Tierschutzbund e.V.. According to the company, most of the money was raised as a result of a campaign started by them last year. As part of the campaign, in which all of the shops in Germany took part and which lasted for one week, money made from selling cat and dog toys was collected to be donated to the charity. The Fressnapf franchise company has been an active supported of animal charities for over ten years.
According to Fressnapf, it is the largest chain of specialist
pet stores selling pet food and pet accessories in Europe. The company is
expanding its network through franchising and – together with its franchise
partners – has around 580 stores in Germany and more than 700 shops located on
other European markets.
