Franchise Pool International expands in Europe
Set up by the German Franchise Association (DFV) in the summer of 2004, Franchise Pool International (FPI) was originally intended to help German franchise networks expand beyond Europe into Asia or the Middle East. FPI has now decided, however, to support German franchise systems to expand within Europe as there would appear to be such a great demand for such a service.
The first step has been taken with the foundation of Franchise Pool International Italy in Milan. Franchise Pool International Italy will be working together with an Italian partner who has been working within the field of granting franchises and licences for over ten years. Further foundations in Europe have already been planned.
According to Franchise Pool International, it has already helped many well-known names to launch their systems abroad such as BabyOne, Mustang Jeans, Reno Schuhe, Marc O'Polo, Vapiano, Mr. Clou, Palmers and New Yorker. Furthermore, FPI international also helps foreign franchise networks to find master franchisees in Germany. FPI boss, Rolf Gerhard Kirst, is also a member of the DFV board where he is responsible for international affairs. Besides holding these positions, Kirst is master franchisee for the company Uniglobe for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
