Finalists named for the 2008 Franchise Marketing Awards

With the entry deadline now over, the finalists have been announced for this year’s Franchise Marketing Awards. Held for the third year running, these awards recognize franchise systems which have succeeded in achieving sustainable growth as a result of innovative and effective marketing campaigns.

There are two main award categories, namely Product & Service Awards and Franchisee Recruitment Awards. The Product & Service Awards have been divided up into five categories and the number of finalists per category range from just 4 nominations to 11. The largest number of finalists in this section are battling it out for the “Best Website” category. There are a list of six categories for the Franchisee Recruitment Awards. Here the longest list of finalists can be found in the categories “Best Recruitment Literature” and “Best Advertisement”.

A total of 35 different franchises have been named as finalists many of them appearing in several different categories. The list is topped by Cash Converters, HiQ and Myhome International Plc which appear in six different categories followed by NBC Bird and Pest Solutions and the Select Group whose names can be found in four different sections.

The awards are supported by a number of groups including the British Franchise Association (bfa) and Lloyd’s TSB. An independent panel will be judging the entries and the awards are to be presented on 4th April 2008.
