Envos concludes strategic partnership with leading Birmingham law firm
Envos, the rapidly-growing environmental management and compliance consultancy, has announced that it has agreed a strategic partnership with leading Birmingham law firm Anthony Collins Solicitors LLP, which will see Envos providing environmental consultancy and auditing for the firm’s clients. According to the information provided, it also gives Envos’ clients access to high quality legal advice on commercial matters including commercial conveyancing, regulatory issues and the purchase of carbon-reducing technology.
The partnership will, the company says, mainly focus around Anthony Collins Solicitors’ conveyancing and planning work for commercial property owners and on the provision of Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme audits, helping the firm’s clients ensure that they meet the growing demands of UK and EU driven environmental legislation.
The agreement comes as a range of UK companies prepare for the introduction of the Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency scheme in April 2010 which will require those firms using more than 6,000 MWh / year of electricity (amounting to an electricity bill of around £500,000 a year) to register their annual energy usage, and ultimately to buy allowances covering their energy-use carbon footprints.
The partnership is the latest in a number of significant agreements signed by Envos as it continues to grow its environmental auditing and compliance services across the UK, via the roll out of franchised operations.
