bfa announces the winners of its 2010 Franchisee of the Year Award
The British Franchise Association, the bfa, has announced the winners of its 2010 Franchisee of the Year awards which were presented during a black tie event at the NEC in Birmingham on Thursday 30th September. These national annual awards, sponsored by HSBC and Express Newspapers, highlight the outstanding efforts and achievements of leading franchise owners in the UK.
According to the information provided, the Gold award went to Gerald
Thompson, McDonald's (Manchester and Oldham), the Silver award was presented to
Frank Sutherland, Autosmart (Aberdeenshire) and the winner of the Bronze award
was Peter Morrison, Granite Transformation (Cambridge).
Cathryn Hayes, Head of Franchising, HSBC, commented: "There were some truly inspirational franchisee nominations this year so choosing the winners was very challenging. It demonstrates to me that British enterprise is alive and well, even in these tough times. All 16 finalists should be very proud of what they have achieved through their endeavour and hard work.
