bellissima Figurstudio becomes a member of the DFV
The German Franchise Association (DFV) has approved the membership of the bellissima fitness chain in its association. bellissima provides dieting concepts for women who do not like the atmosphere of “normal” fitness studios and who are looking for an alternative.
The bellissima training programme is based on three different areas: training courses concentrating on problem zones and the metabolism, a passive figure-improvement programme and the “lightlife” diet concept which is based on the ideas of the author, Lena Bredow. Managing director, Andreas Bauer, who runs six fitness clubs together with his business partner, Klaus Bauer, has been working within the branch for over 15 years.
According to bellissima, the studios are very profitable; the monthly fixed costs are kept at a very low rate as the studios are of a manageable size (90m² to 130m²) and the personnel costs are also very low if the franchisee runs the studio him/herself. bellissima deliberately chooses not to provide additional services such as a sauna, bar or any other courses.
The fitness chain
began in July 2004 and became a franchise system in October 2004. There are
currently 30 bellissima studios in Germany and Austria. Plans for 2006 are to
find a further 40 new franchise partners with the system’s overall aim being to
set up more than 300 studios throughout Europe.
