Barking Mad presents the winners of its 2008 Top Dog Awards
Just over a month ago, the Barking Mad franchise held its national conference at the Low Wood Hotel in the Lake District. The network’s franchisees and their partners travelled to the conference where they took part in a series of events. The day was rounded off by a dinner in the evening during which the company presented its Top Dog Awards.
According to information provided by the company, Jakki Bradbury from North Glasgow was named ‘2008 Franchisee of the Year’. Having received her award, she said, “Winning Franchisee of the Year was a wonderful surprise. I am really honoured to win such an accolade. I love all things Barking Mad and truly enjoy my work life balance. Being part of such a fantastic team of people and knowing that I have their support increases my drive to succeed.”
‘2008 Newcomers of the Year’ was presented to Chris and Alex Cowe from Perthshire, Scotland, Kerry Wells from Spalding, Lincs, won ‘2008 Brand Builder of the Year’ and Janet Locke from Pickering, North Yorkshire, was awarded a ‘Special Achievement’ prize.
The Barking Mad franchise was set up in May 2000 in order to provide its customers with a new kind of pet-sitting service. Since then, the company has enjoyed great success expanding across the UK and overseas. The franchise offers its customers an alternative to putting their dogs into kennels when, for example, they go on holiday. As the company says, it provides dog holidays, with its franchisees arranging for dogs to stay with host families who can match the sort of environment and routine the dogs are used to.
