The British Franchise Exhibition in Manchester: the perfect place to start your own business

Fancy opening your own branch of McDonald’s? Or running a Pitman Training Centre? Or your own franchised travel agency? There will be an exciting range of proven business opportunities to choose from at The British Franchise Exhibition, taking place at Manchester Central on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 January.

Enterprising individuals looking to make their dreams a reality, or looking for a new challenge, will find a broad selection of companies and all the information sources that a prospective business owner needs at the premier franchise event for the North of England.

Brian Smart, Director General of the British Franchise Association, said the following about the exhibition, “The ongoing success of The British Franchise Exhibition at the G-Mex in Manchester is testimony to the growing interest in franchising in the region. This is further reinforced by the latest NatWest/bfa survey which highlights that 58% of UK franchise systems have a presence in the North West and franchising accounts for £0.93 billion of the region's implied turnover.”

Visitors to the show will meet many well-established franchise companies as well as existing franchisees to gain a clear insight into the reality of working with a particular franchisor and its business.
 
More than 100 companies will be exhibiting at the show, offering opportunities in a wide range of business sectors to appeal to every interest and skill, including food and drink, travel, health and beauty, business services and home improvements.

Among these leading companies will be Agency Express, Cash Generator, Dietcare, Go Cruise, Quiznos, Sign-A-Rama, Travel Counsellors and WPA.

Besides being able to meet and talk to franchisors, visitors can also take advantage of the special events that are held parallel to the actual exhibition. These include: free franchising seminars from the British Franchise Association (bfa), the Growing Your Own Business Exhibition & Conference, a Franchisee Forum - from employee to franchisee and the Find Your Franchise Zone.

The event is exclusively supported by the British Franchise Association (bfa. All the franchises present have been accredited by the bfa,  therefore assuring visitors that every exhibitor present abides by the bfa’s code of ethical franchising and have all proven to be viable enterprises.
