| | Franchise requirements | Franchise requirements for the franchisee
- To apply the franchisor’s commercial strategy. The
real decision-maker is the customer. The concept has been designed by the
franchisor to attract the customer and must therefore be respected. This
highly evident principle brings other requirements.
- Compliance with standards.
- An obligation to follow the development of the concept
and the know-how
- An obligation to obtain supplies of referenced
products from referenced suppliers
- Compliance with financial obligations (entry fee,
fees, etc)
- Compliance with the obligations stipulated in the contract
The Franchisee is copying a concept that does not belong to him. He must
therefore respect it. However, it is important that he can give his own opinion
and good networks take the greatest notice of comments, criticisms and ideas
from their franchisees. Very frequently, they organise committees or find some
other means of having the franchisees be involved in the network’s development.
