Cold Stone Creamery on the look-out for German master franchisees
The American Cold Stone Creamery franchise, which offers a range of ice-cream, cake and smoothies, is looking to get a foothold on the German market. According to a report published on the online portal, cafefuture.net, the company is currently looking for partner businesses with experience of the restaurant or retail sector, to act as master franchisees. The franchise, which is already active in Denmark, is intending to begin its expansion plans by entering the North German market.
Founded in 1988, Cold Stone Creamery is run according to the motto: 'the world's best ice cream'. Guests are able to create their own individual ice cream creations: the ice cream can be mixed with a large selection of additional ingredients such as nuts, fruits, cake or even cookies. The selected ingredients are then mixed together on a cold granite slab – hence the name of the company, Cold Stone Creamery.
The franchise currently has over 1,500 stores, primarily in the USA. Having launched its concept in Asia in Japan, Taiwan and Indonesia, the company is now looking to expand in Europe. Following its success in Denmark, it is now preparing its expansion into Germany and France. (kbp)
