The British Franchise Association, the bfa, have put together its shortlist of finalists for its Franchisor of the Year Awards 2009 which, it says, recognise the franchisors that have best prepared and positioned themselves to survive and prosper.
Each year, the bfa concentrates on different aspects of running a business – this year’s theme is 'Today's Foundations for Tomorrow's Success'. The awards are sponsored by Express Newspapers and HSBC and set out to highlight and reward companies that are securing their ongoing success. Further prizes are to be awarded besides the bfa Franchisor of the Year Awards including the Express Newspapers Brand Builder of the Year and HSBC Award for Enterprise.
The finalists for the bfa Franchisor of the Year have been named as Prontaprint Ltd, Wiltshire Farm Foods, Pirtek UK, Signs Express, Driver Hire, TaxAssist Accountants, Apollo Blinds, Countrywide Ground Maintenance and Snap-on. The finalists for the Express Newspapers Brand Builder of the Year are Hob Salons, Lighter Life and Green Thumb and those businesses shortlisted for the HSBC Award for Enterprise are X-Press Legal Services, Little Kickers and Home Instead Care.
The winners are to be announced at a special dinner which is being held on 18th June 2009 at the East Midlands Conference Centre. (kbp)
