With more than 3,610 points of sales in 41 countries, Etam Lingerie wishes to continue its international expansion with 183 store openings this year. Expansion was particularly brisk in Russia and India, with emerging markets in Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
In Germany , the other brand of the group, 1.2.3, grows in the big cities with an additional 19 points of sales this year.
Etam is now very present in China with more than 3000 points of sale. It is more a year of consolidation in China on this ever fast-growing market.
India is a more than interesting market and Etam hopes to develop its network of more than 26 points of sale thanks to a strong promotional campaign such as the presentation of Etam’s lingerie collections in India, an event organized at the French embassy in New Delhi with the most famous Indian models.
In Russia , Lingerie is a hit and Etam benefits from a growing recognition that allowed six new openings this year, which has brought the number of points of sales in Moscow and Saint Petersburg to 23.
Etam is actually seeking for new partners in new countries to make its international franchising network even bigger. 24 franchise stores were opened in 15 countries in 2007, notably in Eastern Europe, the United Arab Emirates, Serbia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland.
