First Gamer Doc™ Video Games Store in the U.S. marks One-Year Anniversary
Article
GAMER DOC

Gamer Doc™, a retail video game store franchise delivering a new and interactive customer experience, has announced the one-year anniversary of its first store in the U.S. According to the information provided, Jason Renfro is the owner of the Gamer Doc store which is located at 5917 N. Figueroa Street, in Highland Park, California.

“It’s been an incredible year, and I want to thank everyone in the community for their loyalty and support,” Renfro said. “My business has grown steadily over the past year, because we offer what no other video game store offers. Our customers can buy, rent, sell, trade-in and pre-order games, drop off consoles or discs for repairs, compete in tournaments, play games before they buy them, and can rent our ‘Pro Player’ room for private parties or a few hours of game play. We have worked hard on doing things that really fulfill what the name means. We are truly a Gamer ‘Doc.’ Our repair service is second to none. I feel like I’ve earned a PhD in motherboards.”

Renfro is a resident of Highland Park, and his store is in a location he specifically sought out, because he wanted to bring something new and exciting to the community that would also contribute to the local economy. The store is eco-friendly, built from 80% recycled materials, with solar panels on the roof for generating electricity, and no plastic bags are used.

Store manager Mark Ragonese attributes Gamer Doc’s success to the fact that “we interact with our customers. We’re not just trying to push sales, but enjoy the relationships we’ve developed with people, talking to them about games, finding out what they think, and how we can better meet all of their gaming needs. Gamer Doc is a great place to work, because we love what we do, and have fun with our customers.”

Gamer Doc is an innovative franchise concept that offers the opportunity to own, develop and operate a retail video game emporium. Launched in December 2007, Gamer Doc delivers a new and interactive experience to all customers. The company currently has stores open in Bear, Delaware; Burlington, Ontario; Highland Park, California; Miami, Florida; Raleigh, North Carolina; and Springfield, Pennsylvania. (kbp)
