Beginning of August: Franchise Exhibition in Oman
The Franchise and Retail Expo (FRE) 2009 is once again opening its doors to the public in Oman from 04 to 06 August. All those interested in franchising can travel to the Oman International Exhibition Centre in Muscat where they will be able to learn more about national and international franchise and retail concepts. According to the organizers, Oite, the FRE 2009 is a great opportunity to promote brands, acquire potential franchisees and enter into partnerships with local businesses.
According to a report in the Oman Daily Observer, foreign trade grew dramatically last year. Furthermore, the annual report published by the Canadian Fraser Institute, "Economic Freedom of the World 2008", places Oman 4th within the Arab world and 40th worldwide. With these facts in mind, the organizers say, further growth can be expected in the franchising sector in the Middle East making the market particularly interesting for investors and franchises.
