Joey’s Pizza: franchise chain to expand into Austria and Switzerland

The Joey’s Pizza franchise is intending to launch its concept on the international market next year. The company has founded a new firm, Joey’s Pizza International, to achieve these international expansion plans, which is to be managed by Carsten Gerlach and Christian Niemax.

According to the company, its first step will be to expand into Austria and Switzerland which will be supported by the German network. The pizza service will then look to launch its concept on other European markets by finding suitable master franchisees.

This year, the franchise has enjoyed a two-figure growth in sales and is expecting to have a group turnover of around 73 million euros. 10 new outlets have been set up in Germany this year which means that Joey’s Pizza currently has 109 franchisees active at over 150 locations. The management believes that Germany has the market potential for a total of 650 locations. (kbp)
