Gold’s Gym holds its 28th International Convention
The Gold’s Gym franchise recently held its international convention which was given the theme of "Right Here, Right Now". According to the information provided, more than 1,000 Gold's Gym owners, corporate executives, staff, and vendors from 20 countries, 42 states and 600-plus gyms came to Las Vegas to celebrate the Gold's Gym brand.
The event proved to be a great success and provided those attending with the opportunity to share best practices, discuss business strategy and learn from top experts in the industry. The gathering was also an opportunity to celebrate excellence throughout the system including the achievements of franchisees and a select group of Gold's Gym members.
"This year's convention truly demonstrated the power, energy and enthusiasm of the Gold's Gym brand," said James Weaver, President and CEO of Gold's Gym International. "It's a new day at Gold's Gym and our theme of 'Right Here, Right Now' spoke to the enormous opportunity we have in front of us at this moment in time. Several major initiatives were also unveiled at this year’s event including the signing of Mark and Mylene Dayrit as master franchisees for the Philippines. They have, the company says, committed to develop a minimum of 26 gyms in that country. Furthermore, an International Franchisee Council was formed which will serve as a steering committee for Gold's Gym International and its master franchisees around the world.
Established in Venice, Calif. in 1965, Gold's Gym is one of the largest full service gym chains in the world with over 675 locations in 43 states and 28 countries. Gold's Gym offers state-of-the-art exercise equipment and industry-leading fitness programs, including group exercise, personal training, cardiovascular equipment, group cycling, Pilates, yoga and Cardio Cinema.
