Fourth in the top 5 of toys distributors in France, the brand King Jouet continues its development in France and starts developing internationally, in Europe but also in Asia.
In France, King Jouet inaugurated its 200e store in Thiais, in Paris suburb, a few months ago and plans to open ten sales outlets this year, of an average surface of 1000 to 1500 m2.
Abroad, the brand envisages, in 2008, three openings in Shanghai, five in Spain and one in Switzerland. In 2010, King Jouet would like that 25% of its turnover are carried out with export against 15% today.
And the results are there: the brand doubled its market share in five years and announces a rise of 12% of its turnover in 2007.
To keep developing, King Toy put on a new strategy based on four
axes of improvement:
- the installation of a logistic platform of 18.000 m2
until the end of the year, which will enable him to increase its storage
capacity by 30%;
- reinforcement of the promotional power and a presence
increased in the media;
- a pointed selection of the products;
- a
constant effort in the settlement of the stores.
