Dunkin' Donuts: 31 stores in Germany with just one master franchise licence
22 stores in Berlin, eight in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and one in Potsdam – after seven years of business in Germany, the Dunkin' Donuts system already has 31 locations.
According to a report on the Internet portal, cafeFuture.net, the company has already opened up 13 new stores in Germany this year and the expansion is expected to continue at an even faster rate in 2007. The German stores are run by one master franchisee. Individual franchise licences are not being granted.
The Dunkin' Donuts franchise system is active in around 35 countries across the world and has approximately 6,900 branches. In 2005, the system’s turnover was estimated to be around 3.8 billion dollars.
