Coffee Republic appoints a new FD
Coffee Republic Plc has recently announced that it has appointed James Muirhead as its new finance director effective from 21 September 2007. He is expected to join the board by the end of 2007.
36-year-old James Cameron Muirhead is a qualified chartered accountant and, according to the information provided by the company, has worked with several rapidly expanding leisure businesses including Novus Leisure ltd and Esporta Plc. Steven Bartlett, Chief Executive, commented on the new appointment saying he was delighted that Mr Cameron had decided to join Coffee Republic and looked forward to the experience he could bring the network from his time working in high growth, multi-site, branded business.
Coffee Republic was founded by Sahar and Bobby Hashemi in London in 1995 and has developed into a well-known espresso bar brand in the UK. The company is looking to further expand its network both at home and abroad. Last month it opened up an outlet in Turkey and it is now interested in hearing from other people interested in becoming a master franchisee with the company.
