Alkomat-Patrouille passes the DFV test

The Alkomat-Patrouille franchise network has successfully passed the franchise system check run by the German Franchise Association, the DFV, and thus joined the association as a full member on 31st August 2007. This check, or assessment, that the DFV carries out looks at a number of aspects including the concept, products and services, strategy and management.

Furthermore, it looks to see whether minimum standards are kept to and asks a random number of franchisees how satisfied they are with the franchisor and the system. This assessment procedure is run by a neutral body, namely the International Centre for Franchising and Cooperation (F&C) at the University of Münster, and is based on the DFV’s Code of Ethics and guidelines.

Measuring blood-alcohol levels at events using the so-called Alkomat – this is the basic idea behind the Alkomat-Patrouille franchise network. There are currently around 60 franchisees in Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain, Greece and the Baltic States. In its latest list of the 30 fastest growing franchise networks in Germany, the start-up magazine, Starting, put Alkomat-Patrouille in 13th place.

The costs for joining the franchise system are not high. The partners are trained for their new work and franchisee meetings take place to enable them to exchange experiences.
